COUNTY CLERK OPERATING PLAN COVID-19

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus and the expectation of a possible second wave it is necessary to develop guidelines to help protect employees from possible spread of the virus. The Office of the County Clerk will follow Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines and other science based organizations in developing policies for the office. Masks and gloves will be required for visitors.

The employees in the office are vital to the business initiatives of Delaware County. The employees are specialized in several different areas including but not limited to all county board agendas, minutes, payroll, purchasing, 20 rural fire departments, recording and indexing legal documents to name a few. The office will assign remote working assignments to best serve the constituents and maintain the work of the office, and provide optimum safety.

The Office of the County Clerk has and will continue to conduct business in the most effective and efficient method possible to provide all services in the office as well as to provide employee safety at the most optimum level.

The in-house hours beginning May 18, 2020, are and will continue until further notice:

In-House

Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Friday-Working remotely from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The office will remain closed to the public and will accept visitors on an appointment basis only. The need to enter the office will be determined on a case by case basis.
